Joyeuse fête de la grace?
This year, I have a lot to be thankful for. The past year brought a lot of different emotions, good and bad, but I am grateful for everything that I’ve accomplished. It’s hard to believe that I’ve graduated from college, and moved halfway across the world for my first “real-person” job. Today, I received a sort of promotion–not only will I be a language assistant, but I will now be teaching three classes as the main teacher. This is an awesome opportunity, as it will really help to to kick start a career in education, and prove to be a challenging but rewarding experience (as well as treat my bank account very well!). I am grateful for this experience, and I am looking forward to the challanges I will face in this new position over the next few months.
In the mean time, HAPPY THANKSGIVING! Here is a photo of the homemade apple sauce that I made today (recipe courtesy of Aunt Marilyn). Having a party tonight with some of the other assistants and friends here in Dreux, and I will post a photo of the whole dinner tomorrow night!
