Well, here goes the very last blog post for Christopher, quotidien.

I arrived home last night, which means my adventure as a language assistant in France is over. As I said in my post yesterday, I had one of the best experiences of my life while working in France. I am sad that this is over, but excited about what may come next (even if I’m not quite sure what that is yet!).

Thank you to all of you who followed my blog over the past few months. Over 10,000 views later, I am really proud of this project. Some my followers are people I’ve never even met, but I appreciate their enthusiasm in always “liking” my posts. For my friends and family who followed the blog, I hope you felt like you were able to share this experience with me, just a little bit.

Stay tuned, because even though my mission with Christopher, quotidien is finished, a new food blog should be up and running shortly!

Here is a picture I took this morning while spending the morning at the beach with my mother and my little brother. Even though I’m sad to be far away from France, I am so glad to be home.

Goodbye, Dreux.

Well, the time has come for me to pack my bags and head back to the States. It’s hard to believe that this experience has come to an end, but I am grateful to say that I had an even better time here than I had expected.

Thanks to all of my new friends, teachers, students, and other assistants. Thank you to the TAPIF program for providing this opportunity. And, thank you to Dreux, for being the most interesting place, hands down, that I have ever lived. If you had asked me six months ago, I never would have imagined that I’d be sad to be leaving this place.

Here is my last photo of Dreux. The final view of the courtyard. For those of you who have followed by blog since September, you may remember seeing this view twice before–once when I first arrived here, and once right before Christmastime.

I will always keep a smile with me, in memory of my time in Dreux at lycée Branly.

A colorful room designed by Agam, an Isreali artist and designer who worked in Paris, for the antechamber of the private apartments of former French president, Georges Pompidou. The room is now on display at the Centre Pompidou.
